PODCAST

In Week 11 we are required to post a brief podcast, and without further ado here it is:

I am familiar with what podcasts are and what they are used for.  While I know this is just a learning exercise, I would've never thought I would've made one in my lifetime.  I used popular streaming service Soundcloud to get the job done.  It was quick and painless to say the least.

While podcasts have been around for a while now, one way I would love to see it implemented more in is in the classroom.  Lecturers can upload their lectures online for further review.  Another great use is for missed lectures on days of severe weather conditions so there is no need to breeze through certain parts of the required course material.  There will be an adequate amount of time spent on each chapter of the course and students' understanding of the material will be even better.  Seeing as Brock classrooms are at approximately 90% capacity, uploading lectures online could eliminate the need for classrooms entirely and save the school from constructing new classrooms and instead investing in a good video recording camera.  Brock, please scrap the 8 AM lecture in favour of this!
